Amber Fire Department

About

The Amber Fire Department, established in 1949 in Otisco, NY, has dedicated over 74 years to serving and protecting the community through volunteer firefighting and emergency services. Originally formed to provide protection for local dairy farms and residences, the department has evolved to respond to a wide range of emergencies, including medical incidents, with trained emergency medical technicians. Throughout its history, the department has expanded its capabilities, acquiring various apparatus and equipment to meet the needs of the community. Despite changes over the decades, the core mission remains unchanged: to help people and protect property in times of emergency.
