Jan Walden is a family law attorney and mediator focusing on divorce mediation, uncontested divorce (if both parties agree on all issues), mediation of post divorce parenting plan issues(including child support),collaborative divorce, and working on the family law issues of never married parents and their children. As a family law mediator she assists the parties in exploring acceptable options to meet the needs of the whole family. If parties are faced with divorce she can guide them to an acceptable financial settlement and help them create the best possible parenting plan for their children, without the financial and emotional cost of a family law courtroom battle. Jan also works in the family law collaborative process in which both parties are represented by counsel but all issues are settled by a series of meetings with both parties and their attorneys present, keeping the divorce entirely out of the courtroom until the parties' agreements are presented to the Judge for approval and the granting of the divorce. Jan also works as a Parenting Coordinator (upon a referral from the Judge) to assist families experiencing high conflict and repetitive litigation to resolve their issues concerning their children outside the family law courtroom, but with Court approval.
