About

Youth Renewal Fund was established in 1989 to provide supplemental education to underprivileged Israeli children. The Israeli school system is plagued by a shortage of qualified teachers, minimal class hours, inadequate facilities, over-crowded classrooms and continued budget cuts. Students from low-income homes are particularly vulnerable and do not receive the quality of education they need to break the poverty cycle.YRF gives Israel's children the resources to build brighter, more prosperous futures.YRF serves communities where there is a large population of children living in poverty. Our projects teach core academic subjects, expose students to innovations in science and technology, and provide a strong network of support. YRF also creates rigorous training programs to improve teacher effectiveness in the classroom and seminars that help parents become better advocates for their children's education. By achieving success academically, YRF students discover the power of education as a tool for improving their stations in life and those of their families.Through our programs, entire communities are benefiting and becoming stronger, more viable contributors to the health and wellbeing of the State of Israel.
